DETROIT – Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff has been named one of the top five finalists for NFL MVP.
Goff completed 72.4% of his pass attempts this year for 4,629 yards, 37 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions. He helped lead the Lions to a 15-2 regular-season record, thanks to the league’s No. 1 offense.
The divisional round game against the Washington Commanders didn’t go particularly well for Goff. He threw for 313 yards but also had three interceptions and a fumble.
But it was still an excellent regular season, and Goff has been recognized as a finalist.
The other four finalists are Bills QB Josh Allen, Eagles running back Saquon Barkley, Bengals QB Joe Burrow, and Ravens QB Lamar Jackson.
