The Detroit Lions are close to finding their new offensive coordinator.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports the team is working to hire former Lions offensive assistant and current Broncos pass game coordinator John Morton as the team’s new offensive coordinator.

Morton would replace Ben Johnson, who took the head coaching job in Chicago at the end of the Lions season.
Morton is a Metro Detroit native who played football at Western Michigan. He was on the Lions coaching staff in 2022, before joining Denver.
