Dunn is replacing Philadelphia 76ers rookie Jared McCain, who had season-ending surgery to repair a lateral meniscus tear in his left knee on Dec. 17.
Black, Camara, and Thompson replace NBA sophomores Dereck Lively II of the Dallas Mavericks, Brandon Miller of the Charlotte Hornets, and Victor Wembanyama of the San Antonio Spurs.
Lively is out at least through NBA All-Star 2025 with a stress fracture in his right ankle.
Miller had season-ending surgery to repair a torn scapholunate ligament in his right wrist on Jan. 23.
Wembanyama was selected to play in the Castrol Rising Stars and the NBA All-Star Game. With the two events connected this year, he will only compete for one of the three teams of NBA All-Stars in the NBA All-Star Game on Sunday, Feb. 16 at Chase Center (8 p.m. ET, TNT).
Thompson helped the Pistons snap their three-game losing streak Friday when they took down the Mavericks 117-102. He didn’t do much in the box score, but he’s continued to improve as one of the league’s best perimeter defenders, averaging 1.2 steals a game.
The 2025 Castrol Rising Stars is an annual showcase of premier young talent. It features a mini-tournament with four seven-player teams and three games.

The fourth team, representing the NBA G League, was previously announced.
