Detroit Pistons’ Cade Cunningham selected for NBA 3-Point Contest at All-Star Weekend

Detroit Pistons guard Cade Cunningham was selected as a participant in the NBA 3-Point Contest at this year’s All-Star Weekend festivities.

NBA insider Shams Charania released a list of the 3-point contest participants on X. Cunningham will compete against some of the best shooters in the league including 2023 and 2024 3-point contest winner, Damian Lillard.

In the middle of a breakout season, Cunningham is shooting 35% from 3-point range on 6 attempts per game. He is averaging 25.6 PPG, 6.3 REB, 9.4 AST on 45% shooting from the field.

Cunningham is the first Pistons player since Richard “Rip” Hamilton in 2008 to be selected to the NBA 3-point contest.

The NBA 3-point contest takes place on Saturday, Feb. 15, at 8 p.m. in San Francisco, CA.

Cunningham was also selected to the NBA All-Star roster and drafted to Team Kenny.
