The Pistons were led by first-time All-Star Cade Cunningham, who cemented himself as one of the league’s top stars to date, including becoming the third fastest player in NBA history to reach 4000 points, 1000 rebounds, and 1,300 assists Tuesday, Feb. 11, in 187 career games.

Cunningham surpassed the original “Mr. Triple Double” Oscar Robertson (131 games) and newly acquired Los Angeles Lakers point guard Luka Dončić (169 games).

As of Friday, Feb. 14, 2025, the Pistons are the sixth seed in the Eastern Conference, thanks to the emergence of Cunningham’s emergence.

Cunningham finished the second of the back-to-back Chicago homestand with 29 points, seven assists, and five rebounds to stamp his selection as one of the NBA’s top 24 players in the association.
