Jason is Local 4’s utility infielder. In addition to anchoring the morning newscast, he often reports on a variety of stories from the tragic, like the shootings at Michigan State, to the off-beat, like great gas station food.
Jason got his start in Lansing in 2000 as a sports reporter at WILX, which is why he looks like he’s having so much fun doing the morning’s sports. In 2002, he pivoted to the news desk and after a long run in Lansing, joined WDIV in 2015.
Oddly enough, Jason was a snowbird growing up. During the school year he and his brother lived on Anna Maria Island in Florida with his mom and spent the summers in Michigan with his dad. After high school, he came back home full time and graduated from Michigan State University.
Jason is a proud #GirlDad three times over (Leah, A.J. and Rosemarie) and lives in Macomb with his East-sider wife Ida, their two kids Rosie and Sonny, and their dog C.C.
Favorite Job: Jason once worked as a minor-league baseball stadium emcee with the Lansing Lugnuts.
