Concordia University Ann Arbor names new Quantitative Business Chair
Gray stepped into her roles as Chair of Quantitative Business and Assistant Professor of Accounting at the start of this year. As department chair, Gray heads up all of Concordia Universityโs accounting, finance, economics, data analytics, and actuarial science programs. She is the only department chair within the School of Business who is based on the Ann Arbor campus. Her dissertation focuses on professional skepticism and emotional intelligence in accounting students and practicing auditors. Originally a Concordia, Portland student, Gray joined the 150 EdD candidates who transferred into CUWโs burgeoning program when the east-coast Concordia announced its closure in January 2020.

Washtenaw County college students, organizations to participate โCampus Sleep-outโ to raise awareness of homelessness
ANN ARBOR, Mich. โ Tonight, students from the University of Michigan, Concordia University and Eastern Michigan University will spend the night sleeping outside to raise awareness of the Washtenaw County homeless population. Along with raising awareness through their night outside, students will also participate in speaker talks, activities and discussion about homelessness and home-insecurity in Washtenaw County. Supported by the Shelter Association of Washtenaw County, the Washtenaw County Office of Community & Economic Development and other community partners, the โCampus Sleep-outโ is one event in a series of activities during Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week. The fair will offer services and resources from community organizations such as Food Gatherers, Thrive Counseling and the Washtenaw County Health Department. Both events will be hosted by the Shelter Association of Washtenaw County at the Robert J. Delonis Center at 312 W. Huron St.

Check out the Argo and Gallup Liveries in Ann Arbor, located right on the Huron River. Whether you want to splash around in a tube or stand up and paddle gracefully over the water on a stand-up paddleboard, the Huron River Trail is the place to go. The four-day event bills itself as Four art fairs, one event. There is the State Street Art Fair, The Summer Art Fair, The South University Art Fair, and the original Street Art Fair. Ann Arbor's bike share program is back!
On a gorgeous summer day, there is nothing better than a bike ride, and in Ann Arbor, they just relaunched a bike share program so you can pedal away, even if you don't own a bike. Merideth Bruckner, the Community News Producer for All About Ann Arbor, and Omari Colen, Regional General Manager for ArborBike, the bike share program, joined host Jason Carr out on the Local 4 plaza to discuss it. Ann Arbor, with its many restaurants and shops, is the perfect place for a bike ride. There will be 14 stations all around Ann Arbor, with about half on U of M's campus, and there should always be bikes available at the stations.
