Livonia police: Missing 90-year-old man has been found
LIVONIA, Mich. โ Livonia police said 90-year-old Raymond Plante has been found. Police said Plante was last seen in the 32900 block of Brookside Circle. He is described as 5 feet 8 inches tall and about 120 pounds. He was last wearing a blue jacket and blue jeans. Police said he was traveling in a 2020 Ford Edge.
This Katy Perry backup singer is making a name for herself

Now the musician says sheโs home in Detroit and working on music of her own. She said that near the beginning of the pandemic, she worked on a couple of virtual concerts with Katy Perry. For Music Monday, Black chose to perform the song Hero.
Detroit police seek man who set off fireworks inside gas station on cityโs west side
DETROIT โ Police are seeking the publicโs help to identify a man who set off fireworks inside a gas station in the 19800 block of West McNichols Road. Detroit police said the man walked into the gas station at about 9:45 p.m. on Sept. 3. A surveillance video showed the man lighting a box of fireworks before running out of the building. The fireworks reportedly caused damage to the ceiling tiles inside the business. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Detroit Police Department at 313-595-7194 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-Speak Up.

A very different Ford Fireworks display takes place Monday
DETROIT The Ford Fireworks is a Metro Detroit tradition that needed to be changed due to the coronavirus pandemic. Despite COVID-19 restrictions, there are options for Fourth of July weekend fun
But the coronavirus continues its mutated spread and our weekend is looking more limited than we expected. The Lac Sainte Claire Pool on Jefferson in Saint Clair Shores opened Friday with kids packing the place. Henry Bowman, Lake St. Clair Recreation Director, says they could have opened it to 250 people at a time, but avoided doing that. The beach at lake St. Clair and Parkdale, Maple Beaches open for swimming. Still to get in on this Fourth of July fun leaving early and packing patience is recommended.
Michigan fireworks laws: Whats legal, how to stay safe
Michigans Fireworks Safety Act of 2011 (Public Act 256) was amended in December 2018, giving local government entities villages, townships, and cities the right to restrict the days and times for their residents to use consumer fireworks by enacting a local ordinance. In Michigan, consumer fireworks must meet Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) standards. It is illegal to ignite fireworks on public property (including streets and sidewalks), school property, church property, or another persons property without their express permission. Keep people and pets out of range before lighting fireworks. NEVER:Buy fireworks packaged in brown paper or use unlabeled fireworks they are for professional use only.
