HOLLY TOWNSHIP, Mich. – The family of a 3-year-old Holly Township girl who died on Saturday said she had severe bruises and internal bleeding. Christine Cunningham is Trinity’s grandmother. Christine Cunningham said her daughter got a text from her boyfriend on Saturday morning. “How can you just drop her off at a firehouse instead of calling 911?” Ronda Osterberg said. “There’s something wrong,” Christine Cunningham said.

HOLLY TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Michigan State Police troopers have opened an investigation in Holly Township after a 3-year-old child was found dead Sunday. The incident happened at the Groveland Manor mobile home park off Dixie Highway. Police said the mother’s boyfriend has been taken into custody. No additional details have been released. More information is expected to be made public on Monday.

HOLLY, Mich. – It took years of planning and collaboration, but the first 113 acres of the Holly Oaks ORV Park has opened. The park is in Groveland and Holly townships, near Groveland Oaks County Park and Campground on Dixie Highway. It’s considered part of the Holly Recreation Area. GROVELAND TOWNSHIP, Mich. A motorcyclist was killed when a woman rear-ended them at a high rate of speed early Sunday morning, officials say. Michigan State Police say at about 3:30 a.m. a woman was traveling north on I-75 near Lahring Road at a high rate of speed when she rear-ended the motorcycle. The motorcyclist was killed from the impact of the crash, officials said. The woman who struck the motorcyclist was arrested for operating her vehicle while intoxicated. Northbound lanes of I-75 and two southbound lanes were closed on Sunday following the crash.

HOLLY, Mich. – Police arrested a 23-year-old Holly Township man after he allegedly posted a threatening message on Facebook on Wednesday at 10:13 p.m.Holly police believed the threat to be credible and investigated. The man is accused of posting the following: “Downtown Holly and every kid I went to high school with is aboutta (sic) meet their fate real quick startin (sic) with the fews.”Police said the man had become depressed after a recent breakup and his mood and demeanor had drastically changed. Holly police officers arrested the man at his Holly Township home on Friday afternoon and he is being lodged in the Oakland County jail. He has been charged with one count of malicious use of telecommunications services, a 6-month misdemeanor. His arraignment is scheduled for Saturday.
