TikTok content creators who make a living promoting their businesses and personal brands on the app were afraid that they would have to find new ways to engage consumers and make money as the app’s future in the United States remained uncertain.

If it feels like TikTok has been around forever, that’s probably because it has, at least if you’re measuring via internet time.

TikTok’s future in the U.S. appeared uncertain on Friday after a federal appeals court rejected a legal challenge the company brought against a law that requires it to cut ties with its China-based parent company or be banned by mid-January.
