2 taken into custody after police pursuit through Detroit
DETROIT โ Michigan State Police released footage of a Friday night police pursuit through the streets of Detroit. According to authorities, two people pointed weapons at a Detroit police officers and drove off in a Dodge Charger. Police said the pursuit began just after 10:30 p.m near the intersection of Evergreen Road and I-96. The pursuit ended when the Charger ran a stop sign near the intersection of Kentfield Street and I-96 and struck a DPD cruiser. MSP said the Dodge Charger was confirmed stolen and a stolen handgun was also recovered.

DETROIT โ Police are looking for Gregory Samuel, a 62-year-old man who went missing Tuesday night. Accord to authorities, Samuel was last seen in person near the intersection of Michigan Avenue and Evergreen Roads just before 11:45 p.m. He was last seen wearing a black and grey jacket, blue jeans and black shoes. Police said the victim got out of his damaged car and started recording video of the incident and the driver that hit him. Man killed, innocent woman shot amid altercation in Detroit, police say
DETROIT One man is dead and a woman is in serious condition after an altercation turned into a shootout early Wednesday morning. Detroit police say at about 1:05 a.m. a 25-year-old man and another male shot at each other following an altercation in the 15700 block of Evergreen Road. The 25-year-old man was fatally wounded in the shooting. Police say a 21-year-old woman was also shot during the incident. Detroit police say the second male shooter fled the scene.
Ford Mustang cut in half in Southfield crash
SOUTHFIELD, Mich. Eight Mile Road was closed after a red Ford Mustang was cut in half in a Southfield crash Saturday. Police said it was a three-vehicle collision at Eight Mile and Evergreen roads. The back end of the was about 80 yards away from the front half. Police did not say if anyone was injured, but authorities confirmed no one died in the collision.

Police arrest 11 in protest blocking school buses in Detroit
DETROIT Nearly a dozen protesters were arrested for blocking school buses from picking up children for summer school classes on Thursday in Detroit. Protesters were blocking buses at a yard in the 12600 block of Westwood Street near Evergreen Road and I-96 on the citys west side. All this following an attempt to block driver from busing children to school in the midst of the pandemic. In-person summer school is being offered at 25 facilities. After the arrests, school buses were able to leave the bus garage to go pick up kids for summer school.

Authorities are investigating a house fire on Pearson Street in the area of Joy Road and Evergreen. Sources told Local 4 four people have been taken to the hospital. Armed robber targets Oakland Party Store in Southfield; nobody injured
SOUTHFIELD, Mich. โ An armed robber targeted the Oakland Party Store in Southfield on Jan. 23 around 7:30 p.m., according to authorities. The suspect entered the store at 10 Mile and Evergreen roads and threatened to shoot if the employee didnโt hand over money, police said. The employee dove behind the counter for protection, and the suspect then fled the store, officials said. He fired two shots as he ran, one at the employee and another at the front door, according to officials. SOUTHFIELD, Mich. โ Around 30 people were displaced Friday when 16 units were damaged inside a Southfield apartment complex, officials said. The fire started Friday morning in the 20600 block of Kensington Court near I-696 and Evergreen Road. Nobody was injured in the fire, authorities said. Smoke and water damaged 16 units and left around 30 people without a home, according to officials. The cause of the fire is under investigation, but it doesnโt appear to have been suspicious, firefighters said.
Detroit police searching for missing 15-year-old
DETROIT โ Police are searching for 15-year-old Alexxis Tinch who was last seen Wednesday at 8:15 a.m. after being dropped off in the area of Evergreen Road and Trojan Street. Tinchโs family members say she was not home that evening when they returned from work. This was troubling to them because the teen normally comes straight home after school, according to police. Tinch is described as 5 feet, 2 inches tall, weighs 150 pounds, has dark skin and brown eyes and auburn colored box braids, according to police. She was last seen wearing a white Polo T-shirt, blue jean jacket and khaki pants, according to Detroit police.
