Stretch of Lodge Freeway to close over weekend

Drivers encouraged to use other routes to access downtown

DETROIT – A stretch of the Lodge Freeway in Detroit will close Friday, March 15 for bridge work.

Both northbound and southbound lanes between I-75 and Grand River Avenue will be closed at 8 p.m. They are expected to reopen to normal traffic Monday at 5 a.m.

Northbound drivers will be detoured onto southbound I-75 to westbound I-96, then eastbound I-94 to northbound M-10.

Southbound drivers will be detoured onto Grand River Avenue into Downtown Detroit.

Drivers are encouraged to use I-96, I-94 or I-75 to access downtown rather than the Lodge.
