Metro Detroit waste company works through trash pickup backlog

The switch, effective July 1, was from GLF Waste -- which many people have used for years -- to Priority Waste. It was expected there might be some disruptions in service, but the problems were compounded when Priority apparently took on some of GFL’s equipment, including aging trucks that had issues.
