Community helps bring giant Nutcracker Soldier garden to Brightmoor Community

Community members in Detroit are creating 12-foot-tall Nutcracker Soldier statues for the 2024 Brightmoor Lights Holiday Festival, using repurposed materials and artistic talents. The festival, running from December 18 to January 3, 2025, at Etheldra Mae Williams Park, seeks volunteers to help complete the 20 statues and features a competition for the best design, aiming to foster community engagement and neighborhood revitalization.
