Massive water main break floods southwest Detroit homes

A significant water main burst in Southwest Detroit, causing frigid water up to four feet deep to flood streets and homes, affecting around 150 residences. Emergency services, including firefighters, police, and dive teams from various agencies, conducted rescues, saving families and pets. City officials, including the mayor and police chief, were on-site, coordinating efforts to shut off the main, resulting in receding waters. The next steps involve relocating affected residents and their pets to temporary housing.
