Explosion shakes homes in Downriver community

An explosion at Fritz Enterprises, a scrap metal processing facility in Taylor, was felt across several nearby cities. The incident occurred when workers were shredding a crushed vehicle, possibly igniting a gas or propane tank. While explosions are common at this site, this one was notably larger, shaking homes in Taylor and surrounding communities. Residents of the DuPage Green Condos, accustomed to such disturbances, reported this explosion as exceptionally loud, yet previous efforts to address these incidents have been unsuccessful.
