A magical experience on the ice is coming to Detroit

Disney characters like Mickey, Minnie, and friends will be performing

A new Disney on Ice show called “Magic in the Stars” is bringing figure skating, acrobatics, stunts, and family fun to Little Caesars Arena.

“Magic in the Stars” features the most Disney characters in one production. The various Disney characters are intertwined in the ice show as Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, and Goofy follow the stars to go through all of the constellations to share the stories of Disney classics and new stories as well, explained one of the performers, Sequoia Bernard.

On the ice, Sequoia takes on the role of “Tiana” from “The Princess and the Frog”. Sequoia described the experience as “super exciting” and called Tiana “strong and resilient”.

Sequoia shared what it takes to bring a show like “Magic in the Stars” to life. She said they did two months of rehearsals and learned all of the choreography before taking the show on the road. A lot of practice is done on the ground learning skills and timing, Sequoia explained.

“Magic in the Stars” will be performed at Little Caesars Arena from Thursday, February 15th through Sunday, February 18th. Watch the video above to get a glimpse of what you can expect to see on the ice.
