Sentence revealed for Macomb County man in 2 cases involving sexual abuse of kids

MOUNT CLEMENS, Mich. – The sentence has been revealed for a Macomb County man who was convicted in two cases involving the sexual abuse of children.

Dennis Peterson Sr., 66, was convicted in March 2024 after two criminal sexual conduct cases were combined into one trial.

In the first case, he was sentenced to 25-30 years in prison for each of his three counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct with a victim under 13 years old and 29-180 months in prison for his charge of second-degree criminal sexual conduct with a victim under 13 years old.

In the second case, he was sentenced to 25-30 years in prison for his charge of first-degree criminal sexual conduct with a victim under 13 years old and 108-180 months in prison for both counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct with a victim related to the defendant.

Peterson’s sentence was announced Tuesday, April 30, 2024, by the Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office.
