Warren high school teacher, 2 parents busted in alleged drug deal

WARREN, Mich. – A Lincoln High School teacher and two parents face dozens of charges following a drug investigation in Warren.

On Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2024, prosecutors say Warren police officers observed Christopher Michael Filiccia, a teacher at Lincoln High School, park his vehicle at a 7-Eleven located at 12 Mile Road and Schoenherr.

Shortly after, a truck driven by Deangelo Ramone Daniel pulled up next to Filiccia’s car, where police allege a brief transaction occurred inside Daniel’s vehicle. Both men then left the parking lot in separate vehicles.

Police conducted a traffic stop on Filiccia, 46, and found drugs, according to prosecutors.

Officers later stopped Daniel, who allegedly attempted to flee but was eventually arrested.

Police later found drugs and firearms at Daniel’s home — accessible to the children living in the home.

A subsequent traffic stop was conducted on Racquel Dubose, who lived with Daniel and their children. Police reportedly found a stolen firearm in her vehicle.

Filiccia is charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance (Less than 25 grams) -- that’s a felony punishable by up to four years.

Daniel faces 12 charges, including Delivery/Manufacture of a Controlled Substance, Maintaining a Drug House, and Felony Firearm.

Dubose also faces 12 charges, including Delivery/Manufacture of Controlled Substance (50-449 grams), Receiving and Concealing a Firearm, Carrying a Concealed Weapon, and Maintaining a Drug House.

“The charges brought against these individuals are deeply troubling, particularly given their roles within the community,” said Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido. “One is entrusted with shaping the minds of our youth as a teacher, and the other two are parents. The impact of their alleged actions fractures the trust within our schools, destabilizes families, and casts a shadow over our community’s sense of safety.”
