Rounds of moderate to heavy snow to hit Metro Detroit this week -- What to expect

After some snowflakes and plenty of cloud cover along with cold temperatures to end the weekend, the cloud cover has broken up overnight, and we have some much-needed sunshine on the way, the calm before the busy weather week ahead for Metro Detroit.

High pressure builds into the region to start next week on Monday, so that means we will see lots of sunshine moving into the region before clouds increase Monday afternoon and into Monday evening. High temperature is heading back into the low 30s by Monday afternoon.

We’re going to watch an area of low pressure move south and east of the region, and up the eastern seaboard by the time we get to Tuesday. There will be enough moisture around that. We will see a few snow showers as we work throughout Tuesday. High temperature is heading into the upper 20s by Tuesday afternoon.
