DETROIT – Two 17-year-old boys have been arrested and charged in connection with a deadly shooting outside a Detroit party store.
They will be tried as adults.

The shooting happened just after 9 a.m. Jan. 28 at a party store on Woodward Avenue. Police believe Keonte Kemari Weddington and Elijah Sanders both shot 34-year-old Jethro Kendrick III as he exited the store.
First responders rushed Kendrick to a hospital, where he died.
The teens were arrested by Detroit police on Feb. 21.
Weddington and Sanders have both been charged with first-degree murder and felony firearm. They are scheduled to be arranged Friday, Feb. 28, at 3:30 p.m.
If convicted, they face the possibility of spending the rest of their lives in prison.
