The leader of a multi-state drug trafficking conspiracy has been sentenced to 27 years in prison for his role in a drug trafficking conspiracy, officials said.
Jason Demyers, 44, of Arizona, who has “significant ties” to Lansing, Michigan, was one of the leaders of a national drug operation where large amounts of cocaine and methamphetamine were distributed, according to a release from U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Michigan Andrew Birge.
Michigan Lottery ticket bought as birthday gift wins $1.1M prize
A Lotto 47 ticket purchased as a birthday gift won a $1.1 million jackpot.
The players matched the six Lotto 47 numbers drawn in the Dec. 14, 2024, drawing to win the $1.1 million jackpot. The numbers were 09-15-16-30-40-44.
“I bought the ticket for my father as a birthday gift,” said the lotto club’s representative. “I don’t buy tickets often, but when I do I always buy them at Liquor Land because I remember my father always bought tickets there when I was a kid.”
