DETROIT – The southbound lanes of I-75 near Michigan Avenue have reopened after a semi-truck jackknifed into a concrete wall.

The crash occurred on Wednesday (March 5) at 4:05 a.m. when officials say a 46-year-old man who was driving the semi-truck ran off the roadway to the right and struck the concrete wall before blocking all three lanes of southbound I-75.

Police said tow trucks removed the semi from the roadway, no other vehicles were involved, and no one was hurt in the crash.

“It is important for all drivers to remember to drive at a speed where they can control their vehicle,” said F/Lt Mike Shaw. “While this crash was only property damage, it could have been a lot worse.”
