Man dies after being hit by car in Washtenaw County

PITTSFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. – A man died Wednesday night after being hit by a car in Washtenaw County.

According to police, a 42-year-old man was crossing Carpenter Road near Packard Road on March 5, 2025, at around 7:40 p.m. when he was hit by a car.

After further investigation, police said the man was wearing dark clothing, and the car had a green signal as it traveled through the intersection where the man was crossing. Police also said it was raining, and the roads were wet at the time of the crash.

The 42-year-old man died at the scene, according to authorities. The driver was not injured.
