DETROIT – A 19-year-old has died after slipping into the Detroit River overnight.
Just after midnight on Saturday, March 15, 2025, police said a group of teens were on Atwater Street along Detroit River where the Detroit Princess Riverboat is docked.

According to police, a 19-year-old hopped over the railing and slipped into the Detroit River.
Detroit Harbor Master and the dive team responded to the scene. Police said the 19-year-old’s body was recovered Saturday morning just east of the Detroit Princess Riverboat where he slipped into the river.
