DETROIT – A new coffee shop and cafe is set to open in Downtown Detroit this spring.

A.M. Buzz will be located inside the Cambria Hotel at 600 West Lafayette Boulevard and pay homage to the WWJ AM News Radio station, which was once housed in the historic, Albert-Kahn-designed building.

The shop will have a walk-up window on Lafayette, near the corner of Third Street, to provide guests a convenient way to grab items.

Menu items include drip coffee, cappuccinos, lattes, a “Build Your Own Brekkie” option, grab-and-go salads, deli sandwiches,

“By incorporating our love for radio and the buzz it creates, we are excited to provide a place for the local community and visitors of Detroit to grab a breakfast and a coffee,” said A.M. Buzz co-owner Joseph Caradonna.

A.M. Buzz was designed for efficiency, according to a release, and there will be self-serve kiosks for in-store ordering, or the option to order online on the cafe’s website. There will also be seating to dine in.

Once it opens, the cafe will be open daily from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The shop will announce a grand opening date in the coming weeks, according to the release.
