SOUTHFIELD, Mich. โ A 27-year-old Southfield man died overnight after his girlfriend called police to report she had stabbed him during a dispute at an apartment complex, officials said. The incident happened around 3:30 a.m. Monday (March 15) at the Lancaster Hills apartment complex on Lancaster Drive near Telegraph and 12 Mile roads, according to authorities. Police said they received a call from a 22-year-old Southfield woman who said she was involved in a domestic altercation and had stabbed her boyfriend. Authorities arrived, rendered aid and took the man to a nearby hospital, but he was pronounced dead upon arrival, officials said. The case is being investigated as a domestic homicide, per Southfield officials.

The girl had been in critical condition at a hospital after being shot in her head. Police said he allegedly fabricated a story and said Bailei had been shot during an attempted robbery.

Driver wanted for hitting police officer in Madison Heights
MADISON HEIGHTS, Mich. โ A search is underway for a driver who took off after hitting a Madison Heights officer and leading police on a chase down Interstate 75. At about 6 p.m. Monday, the Madison Heights Police Department was called to the Midas parking lot on 12 Mile Road west of John R Road to check on a man inside his car slumped over the wheel. The chase ended near 7 Mile Road with no sign of the manโs vehicle. Police identified the man as 31-year-old Justin John Crawford. Anyone with information is asked to call Madison Heights police.

Heavy downpours forced part of I-94 to temporarily close due to flooding in Macomb County
WAYNE COUNTY, Mich. - Heavy downpours caused flooding in a section of I-94 that caused the freeway to be closed for a couple hours. The flooding on westbound I-94 after 12 Mile Road and eastbound I-94 after I-696 was cleared up by 8:20 p.m. and only lasted for around two hours. FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. - A mother and a child were killed Sunday while trying to cross 12 Mile Road in Farmington Hills, sources said. The crash happened around 10 p.m. Sunday on 12 Mile Road, west of Orchard Lake Road, officials said. Witnesses told police the woman and child were crossing the road when they were struck by a vehicle. The driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene, according to authorities. Roseville man killed when car slams into tree on 12 Mile Road
ROSEVILLE, Mich. โ Roseville police say they believe alcohol and speeding were factors in an early morning crash Thursday that killed a 32-year-old man. Shane Caughey was going westbound on 12 Mile Road near Congress Street when he lost control of his 2007 Monte Carlo and crashed into a tree, police said. He was wearing a seatbelt, but appeared to be going more than 70 miles per hour in a 45 miles per hour zone, police said.
