After nearly 40 years, there’s been an arrest in the disappearance and presumed death of a baby girl in Ann Arbor.

A man has been charged with murder of his infant daughter who was last seen in 1982.

It’s been less than a month since Dateline Detroit focused on the death of JoAnn Matouk Romain and the family said people unwilling to talk in the past are starting to come forward.

It’s been a mystery for 11 years, 55-year-old JoAnn Matouk Romain found dead in the Detroit River 70 days after disappearing following a church service she attended in Grosse Pointe Farms.

A family is searching for answers on the one year anniversary of a woman’s disappearance in Detroit.

FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. – It’s been nearly four years since Danielle Stislicki disappeared, and Local 4 spoke one-on-one with investigators of the case about some key pieces of evidence they found that day. King is the Farmington Hills police chief now, but four years ago, he was one of the first investigators to arrive at Danielle’s Farmington Hills apartment. Jessica Perry, Danielle’s cousin, said they are just a few years apart in age and they grew up together. GROSSE POINTE FARMS, Mich. – There is a new, surprising development in the investigation into the 2010 death of a Grosse Pointe Woods woman. According to documents filed in federal court, attorneys representing the family of JoAnn Matouk Ramain revealed a new witness has come forward. The witness, Paul Hawk, has sworn under oath that he saw Timothy Matouk with JoAnn near the water the night she went missing. JoAnn Matouk Romain was last seen Jan. 12, 2010, at a prayer service at St. Paul on the Lake Catholic Church in Grosse Pointe Farms. Timothy Matouk is JoAnn's cousin.

DETROIT Tamala Wells, a Detroit mother of two, was last seen Aug. 6, 2012. Since that day, her mother has never stopped working to get answers. TRENTON, Mich. April Hall just wants her daughter to come home and will never stop looking for her. Hall says her daughter, Amaria, was the type of person who had the ability to learn anything. Amaria Hall was last seen a year ago July 7 at her familys home in the 2100 block of King Road in Trenton. Pew said she has not reached out to anyone, and if she is OK, they hope she lets someone know. April Hall is holding a tribute to her daughter Tuesday beginning 6 p.m. at Trenton City Hall Courtyard on West Road before Jefferson.

GROSSE POINTE FARMS, Mich. – The 2010 death of JoAnn Matouk Romain remains a mystery one year after her disappearance. The Grosse Pointe Woods woman was last seen January 12, 2010 at a prayer service at St. Paul on the Lake Catholic Church in Grosse Pointe Farms. Investigators tracked footprints in the snow from the lot to Lake St. Clair, a short distance away. Michelle Romain questioned police, who believed footprints in the snow leading to the river’s edge matched JoAnn Matouk Romain’s boots. Her family said Romain had told them someone was following her in the weeks before she disappeared.
