Thieves may not have been counting on finding a mountain of change when they broke into a truck filled with $750,000 in dimes, but authorities say they still made off with a chunk of the cargo and left coins scattered around a Philadelphia parking lot.
Thieves steal Slows Bar BQ trailer in Corktown, owner says
DETROIT โ Police are investigating a restaurantโs food trailer that was reported stolen Wednesday. โItโs 26-feet long, itโs 10,000 pounds,โ said Michael Metevia, owner of Slows Bar BQ. โThereโs no hiding it.โThe trailer was taken from a fenced lot on Michigan Avenue at about 2 a.m. or 3 a.m. Wednesday. โWe parked it in our secure lot where it normally lives when weโre not using it. So when something like this happens, it is more of an emotional blow than business,โ he said.
Clinton Township police seek two people wanted for break-in at business
CLINTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. Clinton Township police are seeking two people wanted for a break-in that happened around 5 a.m. on Aug. 20. Thieves work quickly overnight to strike 3 Target stores in Metro Detroit
ALLEN PARK, Mich. โ Workers were busy installing new doors Monday morning at the Target store in Allen Park. It was one of three Target stores in Metro Detroit -- one in Woodhaven and another in Dearborn -- where thieves smashed through the front door overnight and stole thousands of dollars worth of electronics. The thieves then went to the Allen Park and Dearborn stores. Donโt they have 24/7 surveillance?โ said Sarah McCune in Allen Park. Police suspect itโs the same group of thieves.
