Detroit police: 84-year-old man fatally struck by car on Warren Avenue near Woodmont
DETROIT โ An 84-year-old man was fatally struck by a car Sunday evening on West Warren Avenue near Woodmont Avenue, Detroit police said. The man was hit in the roadway by a silver Honda sedan about 6:10 p.m. The driver stopped, police said. Medics rushed the man to a nearby hospital where he died from his injuries. Detroit police investigate after 25-year-old shot, injured while putting cash into ATM
DETROIT โ A 25-year-old man was shot by an unknown person on Tuesday in Detroit, police said. The shooting happened at 1:25 a.m. in the 17700 block of West Warren Avenue. The victim told police that he got out of his armored vehicle to put cash into an ATM when an older-model red Chevrolet Impala pulled behind the armored vehicle and someone from inside the Impala shot him. The victim said he jumped back in the armored vehicle, secured the door behind him and the suspect fled the scene. 51-year-old man shot to death in Detroit Saturday morning
DETROIT โ A 51-year-old man was fatally shot Saturday at around 3:20 a.m. in the area of Livernois and West Warren Avenue, Detroit police say. A weapon was recovered from the scene of the crime. Man killed in shooting outside Clora Funeral Home on East Seven Mile Road
DETROIT โ A 53-year-old man was killed in a shooting Monday outside of Clora Funeral Home. The shooting took place at about 10:35 a.m. Monday in the 5800 block of East Seven Mile Road in Detroit. Detroit police said the shooting occurred after an argument between a family member and someone working at the funeral home. Detroit police seek driver who lost control doing donuts, injured 3 people
DETROIT Police are seeking the driver of a gray Dodge Charger who allegedly injured three people early Monday morning. According to officials at about 2:10 a.m. the three individuals were watching the unknown driver of the Dodge Charger do donuts in the area of Livernois and West Warren Avenue. Police say the driver lost control of the vehicle and struck the three pedestrians and then fled south on Livernois. All three victims were taken to the hospital -- two were listed in critical condition and one was listed in temporary serious condition. Over bag of chips? Detroit gas station shooting under investigation
DETROIT - A Detoit gas station clerk is in police custody after firing shots at a thief inside his store. It happened at 10:30 p.m. Tuesday at a Shell gas station on West Warren Avenue just off the Southfield Freeway on Detroit's west side. The video appears to show one of the men stealing a bag of chips while the other holds the door open so the clerk can't lock them in. Surveillance video from Sunday night appears to show men arguing with clerk and stealing from the gas station. Two men inside the gas station appear to argue with the clerk just before one of them walks out without paying for several bags of chips.
