4Warn Weather – Tuesday, May 7 will begin with some sunshine, but wet weather will arrive later. Here’s what to expect.
Storms Tuesday
Showers and storms are looking likely later Tuesday afternoon and evening, and some could be on the strong side.
Showers look to move in during the afternoon, but it’s in the evening -- closer to 7 p.m. or 8 p.m. -- that we’re expecting some stronger storms.
Severe weather is possible in the evening. The Storm Prediction Center has those from Howell to Grosse Ile and south under a slight risk for severe weather (level 2 of 5). Those north of that line are under a marginal risk (level 1 of 5).
Pretty much all types of severe weather are possible: Strong, damaging winds are our biggest threat, followed by hail, isolated flooding, and tornadoes.

The showers and storms should push out of the region by 11 p.m.
Drier Wednesday
Wednesday will be calmer and warmer, with highs jumping up into the 80s.
More rain Thursday
We have a total of three systems bringing us rain chances over the next week.
The second system will arrive Thursday with a cold front that will bring us colder temperatures. Highs will cool down into the 60s after reaching the 80s on Wednesday.
Wet weather on Thursday is really just looking like rain at this point, but stay tuned for a more refined forecast over the next couple of days.
And again this weekend
Keep the umbrellas handy to start the weekend! The third system will bring us more rain on Saturday.
Showers are possible both Saturday and Sunday, but we will warm up into the upper 60s for Mother’s Day on Sunday.
