Rain possible on Memorial Day weekend: What we’re tracking in Metro Detroit

Mostly dry Wednesday, Thursday first

Rain generic (KPRC 2)

4Warn Weather – A front moved in overnight into this Wednesday morning, bringing some scattered showers with it.

Scattered showers are possible until about 7 a.m. They won’t be area wide, but most of us should get a little something. There may be a rumble of thunder or two mixed in, but nothing severe.

Aside from the early morning rain, clouds will actually decrease throughout our day today. Highs will be back close to the middle 80s.

Tonight’s sunset is at 8:54 p.m.

Overnight lows will drop into the upper 50s.

Dry before more rain chances

Our Thursday is looking to remain dry with some sunshine mixed in.

The heat will continue Friday with highs around 80 degrees. Afternoon showers are possible on Friday.

While we anticipate another round of rain later Friday into Saturday morning, and again overnight Sunday into Monday (Memorial Day), it’s important to note that long-range data has not been consistent.

This uncertainty underscores the need for continuous monitoring of the forecast in the coming days. Stay tuned as we refine our forecast each day.

Lows will be in the upper 50s and lower 60s the last few days this week.

Cooler temps on the way

What is looking certain is that cooler temperatures are on the way next week.

By next Tuesday, highs will only be in the lower 70s.
