Tracking rain, storm chances in Metro Detroit: What to know

Wet weather expected thru midweek

4Warn Weather – Light rain and drizzle will continue to fall this Memorial Day Monday afternoon, but we should dry out more this evening. Some light drizzle can’t be ruled out later on, though.

Tonight’s sunset is at 8:59 p.m.

A few showers are possible overnight into Tuesday.

Rain chances ramp up

Rain chances really ramp up around sunrise on Tuesday morning, as more widespread rain moves in.

Some of our more northern counties may see showers in the morning on Tuesday, starting around 6 a.m. Those morning showers will start moving south into more of Metro Detroit around midday.e

We could see a couple of spotty showers Tuesday afternoon. There may even be a few rumbles of thunder, but theres will be somewhat isolated.

The chance for rain will continue overnight Tuesday into Wednesday morning before we dry out Wednesday afternoon.

Gusty winds relaxing

It’ll still be breezy the rest of Monday and Tuesday with gusts over 20 mph. Winds will relax more by Wednesday.

Temps on the rise

With the rain and clouds, it’s cooler out there than it’s been. But warmer temperatures are on the way.

We’re near 70 the next few days, but by this weekend and early next week highs are back in the upper 70s to near 80!

More rain this weekend, next week

With the warmer temperatures comes the chance for rain as well.

Showers are looking likely later next Saturday and perhaps Sunday.

Another good chance for rain comes Monday of next week.
