Metro Detroit gets cooler temps, less humid air and breezy winds to end the weekend

Sunshine returns on Sunday

4Warn Weather – Sunshine returns on this Sunday with cooler temps and less humid air.

High pressure over the area maintains dry conditions and seasonable temperatures into early next week. Partly sunny with highs around 70 and breezy. Northwesterly winds will be between 10-15 mph with gusts upward of 20 mph.

Sunrise is at 6:01 a.m. and sunset is at 9:14 p.m.

Warmer and more humid conditions arrive midweek, with increasing potential for showers and thunderstorms. Next rain chances move in late Tuesday into Wednesday as a hotter, more humid airmass returns.

We can’t rule out pop-up storms Wednesday through Friday, but don’t expect the Fourth of July to be a washout by any means. Highs get close to 90 by Wednesday and will be in the mid-80s on Independence Day.
