Another round of snow is moving into Michigan Friday and is expected to linger through the weekend.
In Southeast Michigan, the snow is expected to develop after 2 a.m. to 4 a.m. with light snow during Saturday. One to 3 inches of snow is expected through Saturday afternoon for most areas. A second round of more intense snow is possible late Saturday evening into Sunday bringing the potential for snow accumulation more than 6 inches.
A 4Warn Weather Alert has been declared for Saturday and Sunday due to the weekend-long snowfall. If you have to travel this weekend, expect slow travel from late Friday through Saturday evening.

Northern Michigan
The National Weather Service is predicting light to moderate snowfall to begin Friday night and continue into Saturday. The highest snowfall amounts are expected east of I-75.

Lower Michigan
Snow is expected to develop from west to east after midnight on Friday night and continue through Saturday. Most areas of lower Michigan will see 3 to 6 inches of snow.

The National Weather Service is predicting 2 to 6 inches of snow to blanket the Upper Peninsula beginning Friday night. By Saturday night, lake effect snow resumes.
