The Great Lakes Psychology Group (GLGP) is celebrating the first anniversary of its online platform which was created to simplify the process of finding a therapist for patients.
The organization provides outpatient behavioral and mental health care to patients in Michigan and across the Midwest, and one year ago, they launched a website that helps connect patients and therapists.
Since the launch of the Find My Therapist website, more than 15,000 patients have found therapists.
The group says it launched the website because seeking therapy services can be intimidating for some, and this platform allows people to find a therapist and set up an appointment without needing to make a phone call.
“For many, finding a therapist and scheduling that first appointment can feel daunting,” said GLPG. “FindMyTherapist.com simplifies this process by enabling clients to browse therapist profiles, review their specialties, confirm insurance acceptance, check availability, and book appointments online - all without the need for a phone call. Find My Therapist is owned by Great Lakes MSO, LLC, a therapist-founded organization based in Michigan.
The organization has offices across Metro Detroit and in different areas of the state, including Ann Arbor, Clinton Township, Clarkston, Dearborn, Grand Blanc, Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo, Livonia, Novi, Okemos, Oxford, Roseville, Shelby Township, Sterling Heights, Southfield, Southgate, Traverse City and Troy. They offer in-person and online therapy services.
