Martin, McDonald, Porter join stars in telethon for Ukraine
A roster of film, TV and theater all-stars โ including Steve Martin, Annette Bening, Billy Porter, Audra McDonald, Cynthia Nixon, Kristin Chenoweth, David Hyde Pierce and Rosie Perez โ have signed up for a 10-hour telethon to raise money for the victims of the war in Ukraine.

Italian screen legend Sophia Loren and independent filmmaker Haile Gerima will be honored with special awards, and Tom Hanks, Annette Bening and Bob Iger are being saluted for their efforts to raise $388 million for the long gestating museum, the organization said Monday. Designed by architect Renzo Piano, The Academy Museum of Motion Pictures is located at the corner of Wilshire Boulevard and Fairfax Avenue in the historic Saban Building.

Academy Museum director and president Bill Kramer said Friday that the new museum has raised $388 million. Located in Los Angeles at the corner of Wilshire Boulevard and Fairfax Avenue, the Academy Museum is set to open on April 30, five days after the 93rd Academy Awards.
Movies to watch while you wait for election results
Film Critic Greg Russell stopped by to share four movies about the presidency to help you wait for the results. In the film, Douglas plays a first term President and widower. Two former presidents, played by Jack Lemmon and James Garner, find themselves thrown under the bus by the sitting president played by Dan Ackroyd. Annette Bening to receive AARP Movies for Grownups award
LOS ANGELES, CA Annette Bening will receive AARP the Magazine's lifetime achievement honor at the Movies for Grownups Awards next year. The magazine announced Tuesday that Bening will accept the career achievement award at the ceremony on January 11, 2020 in Beverly Hills, California. The 19th annual Movies for Grownups Awards will air January 19 on PBS. Bening won Golden Globe awards for best actress for the 2004 film "Being Julia" and 2010's "The Kids Are All Right." Previous career achievement honorees include Shirley MacLaine, Michael Douglas, Morgan Freeman, Kevin Costner and Robert De Niro.
