U-M begins COVID-19 vaccinations at Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor
ANN ARBOR โ Michigan Stadium reopened its doors on Thursday morning after months of closure as a new site for Michigan Medicineโs sweeping COVID-19 vaccination program. Michigan Medicine aims to eventually vaccinate 2,000 people per day at The Big House, said David Miller, urologist and Chief Clinical Officer at U-Mโs Cardiovascular Hospital. 19th annual Treat Parade returns to downtown Ann Arbor on Oct. 31
ANN ARBOR - The downtown Treat Parade will be back for its 19th run on Oct. 31 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.Goblins, ghouls and critters of all ages will fill the downtown area for trick-or-treating at participating downtown businesses. University of Michigan: Student voter turnout tripled in 2018

The school announced that student voters tripled in the 2018 midterm elections, compared with 2014. More than 15,800 students voted in 2018, compared with 5,282 in 2014, spiking U-M's student voting rate to 41%. The number tripled the school's previous 14% voting rate, according to data released by the National Study of Learning, Voting and Engagement at Tufts University's Jonathan M. Tisch College of Civic Life. Colleges nationwide have seen a jump in student voter turnout, from 19% to 40% overall.

Farewell, North Campus Turkey. Famed jogger chaser killed in Ann Arbor
Officers with Michigan's Department of Natural Resources were called early Monday morning by the Ann Arbor Police Department and shot the North Campus turkey -- a bird who's gained notoriety for blocking traffic, and chasing people.
