DETROIT โ An 18-year-old man turned himself in to police in connection with the fatal shooting of two sisters Friday on Detroitโs east side. Police said the man was wanted in connection with a fatal double-shooting at a home on Lantz Street, near John R. Street, just south of State Fair Avenue. DETROIT โ Police are searching for an 18-year-old man in connection with the fatal shooting of two women Friday on Detroitโs east side. Police said the victims -- 21-year-old Shaniya Todd and 18-year-old Shakiya Todd -- were sisters and were killed when a fight turned into a shooting. They said theyโre upset and confused, but hopeful that the information police released on the suspect could lead to an arrest. Police released a photo of a suspect wanted in connection with a Dec. 18, 2020 fatal shooting. Police said he shot and killed Shakiya Todd and her older sister, Shaniya Todd, who also is a young mother.

Man dies after running into Detroit car wash saying he was shot
DETROIT โ A man died Tuesday afternoon after a shooting on Woodward Avenue in Detroit. Police said the 36-year-old victim ran into a car wash in the 19600 block of Woodward Avenue, near State Fair Avenue, saying he had been shot and needed help. The man was taken to a hospital, where he died. Police said they donโt yet know what led to the shooting or who shot the man.
