Cooler temps, some snow expected soon in Metro Detroit -- what to expect

Another system brings us rain and snow chances Sunday

4Warn Weather – After a nearly record-breaking day Tuesday, we’re looking ahead to cooler temperatures, more rain and maybe even some snow over the next few days.

Clouds hang with us tonight, with again some light rain, drizzle and fog being possible. Temperatures overnight only drop into the lower 40s.

A few scattered showers are expected to swing through both Thursday and Friday, with chances being slightly better Thursday. Both days you’ll want to keep the umbrellas handy, but by no means are we talking about a wash-out type event. There will be some dry time both days.

Another system brings us rain and snow chances Sunday, however it’s worth noting that long range data has been less impressive today with this system. We’re still keeping the chance for light rain changing to light snow in the forecast for Sunday, but the chances in today’s data has gone down compared to Tuesday’s data.

Temperatures are on their way down as well. We’re in the 40s today, but by the early part of next week highs will only be in the upper 30s. Which is still above normal, but only be a couple of degrees.
