4Warn Weather – After a notably cool start to the week, get ready for a significant shift in weather patterns. The heat is being cranked up, and it’s here to stay for the next week.

We’re warming into the 80s and beyond for the foreseeable future; the 90s are not out of the question.

We may touch 90 in a couple of spots on Thursday, but most of us should top out in the upper 80s. Monday and Tuesday of next week are better chances to get into the 90s.

On top of the heat, we are tracking some rain and storm chances. The first comes overnight Tuesday as a system out to the west of us moves in.

However, because it is moving in during the overnight with no daylight to work with, we are anticipating this rain to fizzle as it moves through the area from west to east.

So we’re really just anticipating a few light showers overnight. It won’t last long and won’t be widespread.

A better chance for showers and a few storms come Thursday evening. While we can’t provide specific timings and threats yet due to the limitations of high-resolution data, we’re seeing a potential for an evening event.

The Storm Prediction Center has placed most of Michigan under a marginal risk (level 1 of 5) of severe weather. The main concern is strong winds, but we’ll be refining this part of the forecast in the coming days to provide you with the most accurate information.

The weekend looks nice and warm, with a few clouds and highs in the lower to middle 80s.

Another chance for rain returns next week on Monday and Tuesday.
