After some sunshine to start the weekend, we are going to keep the dry weather into the forecast looking ahead into the end of the weekend.
We’re going to have a cold front swing through during the morning hours on Sunday. This will bring a slight chance of rain showers to start the day, but the end of weekend will not be a complete washout. High temperatures will be warmer, heading into the middle to upper 70s by Sunday afternoon. It will also be breezy as we head throughout the day with wind gusting as high as 30 miles an hour throughout much of the day on Sunday.
Looking ahead to next week, high-pressure will firmly control the forecast for the majority of the week. Will keep a little cloud cover in with some sunshine on Monday before more sunshine than anything looking heading into the middle of next week. Temperatures will be much more seasonable as well, into the middle 60s for the majority of next week
We’ll keep some sunshine into the forecast with a little more cloud cover looking ahead into the end of next week on Friday. High temperatures warmer, warming into the low to mid 70s by the end of the week on Friday.
We are also keeping an eye on the tropics this morning, as Tropical Storm Milton formed on Saturday, and his forecast to strengthen through the end of the weekend and into the start of next week.
The current forecast from the National Hurricane Center has Milton becoming a major hurricane and making landfall along Florida’s West Coast on Wednesday as a Category 3 Hurricane. These areas are just now recovering from Hurricane Helene about a week and a half ago, and are now looking at another major hurricane making landfall this week. Hurricane and storm surge watches will likely be issued on Sunday for portions of the Florida Peninsula. If you have family or friends, or travel plans to Florida this week, you will want to keep a close eye on what Milton does.
