What weather to expect to start November in Metro Detroit

A few showers are expected for part of this Halloween, then we return to normal this weekend

Trick or treaters in some parts of Metro Detroit may need the umbrella to start this evening, that’s if they can hang on to them with the gusty winds around.

A few showers are expected through about 7pm this evening, but then should be exiting the area. This happens from west to east, so the further west you are the drier you will be today and this evening. With that being said we’re really not expecting much in the way of rain, but there will be a few out there.

The other big story this evening are the winds. A Wind Advisory is in effect for all of southeast Michigan through this evening as we could see gusts near 45mph. These winds stay gusty on Friday, but should be relaxing later in the day.

It’s going to be noticeably cooler as we start and finish the weekend. We’re going to struggle to get into the lower to middle 50s Friday, and will stay in the middle to upper 50s Saturday and Sunday. While that’s a good deal cooler than what we’ve had this week, it’s much closer to where we should be this time of the year.

Next week we see a push of warmer temperatures return, as well as more rain. Some rain will get here later Sunday, but this is looking like more of a Monday and Tuesday event. Both days look fairly soggy. It’s also going to be warmer with highs by Tuesday back in the lower 70s.
