4Warn Weather – We started off the weekend with plenty of cloud cover and some patchy drizzle, and expect the cloud cover to stick around looking ahead into the end of the weekend as well.
We will start to warm things up, just a little bit through the end of the weekend and in the start of next week, expect the cloud covered to stick around on Sunday. Mostly cloudy skies can be expected, high temperatures heading for the upper 40s by Sunday afternoon.
Our next frontal boundary rolls into the region by the time we get to early next week on Monday, this will bring a chance of rain showers throughout the day Monday. High temperatures warming into the low 50s by Monday afternoon.
We will keep a chance of rain showers into the forecast on Tuesday as that system moves off to the east. That will also usher in some cooler temperatures. High temperatures head into the lower 40s by Tuesday afternoon.
Looking ahead into the holiday at the end of the week, dry weather sticks around for one of the busiest travel days heading into the holiday on Wednesday. Mostly cloudy skies can be expected high temperatures heading for the low 40s by Wednesday afternoon.
The weather pattern looks to get active through Thanksgiving on Thursday and into the end of the week on Friday. As an area of low pressure tracks south through the region, we are expecting a chance of rain and snow showers for Thanksgiving on Thursday, giving way to a chance of snow showers by the time we get to the end of the week on Friday. We are going to have to keep a close eye on late Wednesday Night and into Thursday. If trends continue, there could be a period of snow after midnight Wednesday Night into Thursday Morning before changing over to a rain snow mix.
High temperatures heading for right around 40 by Thursday afternoon, we’ll drop into the 30s for daytime highs by the end of the week on Friday.
There is still some uncertainty in the track of the storm system, so we will keep an eye over the next few days on where the system trends in the data, but it does look like in any event. It will be an active weather forecast, heading into the Thanksgiving holiday.
Below average temperatures will control the forecast through Thanksgiving, the holiday weekend and into the end of the month. The Climate Prediction Center’s 6-10 Day Temperature Outlook puts the region in very high chances of well below average temperatures. So these 30s that are on the way for the end of the week and weekend, look like they may stick around a little while longer.
