Rain & snow showers possible late Wednesday night; colder with snow showers into the weekend

Well below average temperatures stick around into the upcoming weekend as well

After dry weather and some sunshine working throughout our Tuesday, the dry weather sticks around for the important travel day on Wednesday, before some winter weather moves in looking ahead into the Thanksgiving holiday.

Sunshine on Wednesday morning will give away the increase in clouds through the afternoon and into the evening in advance of our next system moving into the region. High temperatures heading for the lower 40s by Wednesday afternoon.

The clouds will increase, and with a low pressure center working south of the region, we will bring a chance of rain and snow showers into the forecast for some, especially along in south of Interstate 94 into the overnight. Overnight lows dropping into the lower 30s.

Any rain and snow shower activity should wind down by early Thursday morning, and will keep the cloud cover into the forecast for the rest of the day. High temperatures heading into the upper 30s and lower 40s by Thursday afternoon.

WEDNESDAY: Morning sunshine, increasing clouds in the afternoon and into the evening. High: 43.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT: Mostly cloudy skies, a chance of a rain/snow shower wintry mix. Low: 30.

THURSDAY: Mostly cloudy skies, a chance of a few rain/snow showers early. Colder temperatures. High: 41.

THURSDAY NIGHT: Mostly cloudy skies, a chance of snow showers. Low: 28.

FRIDAY: Mostly cloudy skies, a chance of snow showers. High: 34.

Looking ahead to the end of the week and the upcoming weekend, a strong northwesterly flow is going to bring in some well below average temperatures, with colder air from Canada. That will also drive snow shower activity Friday through the end of the weekend on Sunday. This could create some snow squalls that develop fairly quickly, so do be alert if you are traveling through the end of the weekend end of the weekend. High temperatures into the low end of the 30s Friday through the end of the weekend on Sunday.

Looking ahead to early next week for Monday and Tuesday, we will keep some cloud cover into the forecast, mostly cloudy skies can be expected. High temperature still remaining well below average, into the lower 30s looking ahead into early next week.
