Snow accumulation expected through most of day Friday

4Warn Weather – We are expecting the snow to continue for the majority of the day today, with most places seeing up to 2 inches of snow accumulation by the time we get to the evening hours tonight.

A Winter Weather Advisory is an effect for Sanilac in St. Clair Counties until 10:00 PM Friday night. These areas could see at least 3 inches of snow by the time we get to the late evening hours tonight.

The majority of the snow will end by the time we get to the afternoon hours, but the lake machine will kick in through the afternoon and into the evening hours tonight. High temperatures today heading a few degrees above the freezing mark by late Friday afternoon.

We will keep some cloud cover into the forecast, looking ahead into the start of the weekend on Saturday, but some sunshine is expected. High temperature is much colder, only heading into the middle 20s by Saturday afternoon.

We keep the cold temperatures into the forecast with a little bit of sunshine for the end of the weekend on Sunday. High temperatures remaining in the middle 20s by Sunday afternoon.

High temperature is warming to run around the freezing mark for the start of next week, and that warming train continues with high temperatures into the upper 30s by Tuesday afternoon.

We keep some cloud cover of the forecast for Christmas Day on Wednesday, high temperatures seasonable, into the upper 30s by Wednesday afternoon before we head for the low 40s by the time we get to Thursday.
