Frigid Friday in Metro Detroit with numerous light snow showers

DETROIT – Widespread light snow to start your morning could lead to a few slick spots for the morning commute. Brisk as well, leading to wind chills in the teens, so bundle up!

Scattered light snow showers today with light accumulations likely. Blustery again today and tomorrow. Highs will only top out in the upper 20s.

Sunset is at 5:14 p.m.

No significant snowfall expected over the next several days unless that low pressure late this weekend shifts north, but not looking likely. We are entering an extended stretch of cold temperatures this weekend into next week with high temperatures stuck in the 20s. Lows generally in the teens, but there is the potential for lows to slip into the single digits. The lake effect snow machine could kick back in by the middle of next week, giving us a few more snow chances.
