A few snowflakes, snowy roads across Metro Detroit on Saturday

Next round of snow moves into the region on Sunday

More snow showers are forecast to move into the region for the end of the weekend on Sunday (WDIV)

4Warn Weather – After widespread snow moved through the region last night, it will be a snowy start to the weekend, with snowy road conditions expected.

We will also keep a few flakes into the forecast, looking ahead throughout the start of the weekend on Saturday. High temperatures remaining into the low 30s by Saturday afternoon.

Expect the cloud covered to stick around overnight tonight into Sunday morning, the snow pack will help drop temperatures a little bit and keep us well below freezing. Overnight lows dropping into the upper teens by Sunday morning.

Our next round of snow moves into the forecast Sunday afternoon and Sunday evening. We will watch another disturbance roll through the region, and this will reinvigorate snow showers developing across the region. High temperatures heading for the upper 20s to lower 30s by Sunday afternoon.

We will keep the chance of snow showers into the forecast, looking ahead into the start of next week, as the lake effect snow machine is turned back on again thanks to a northwest flow. High temperatures will head into the upper 20s on Monday, will drop into the upper teens by Tuesday afternoon.

Another arctic blast moves in looking ahead into the middle of next week, with highs on Tuesday into the teens and overnight lows into the low teens and single digits, we will see a gradual warm-up looking ahead into the end of next week. The snow showers will wind down by Tuesday night, and will keep a few flakes into the forecast on Wednesday otherwise expect plenty of cloud cover.

The cloud cover sticks around for Thursday and into the end of next week on Friday, but we have a slight warm-up on the way. High temperatures heading back into the lower 30s by the end of next week on Friday.

  • Sunday: Cloudy skies. Snow showers re-developing in the afternoon and evening. High: 30.
  • Sunday night: Cloudy skies. A chance of snow showers. Low: 23.
