Metro Detroit is heading into the weekend with more snow chances, but temperatures will return to near normal.
Following afternoon highs around 20 degrees, Friday evening will see temperatures in the teens. Skies will be mostly cloudy with a few flurries.
Friday night will be mostly cloudy and cold. Most of Metro Detroit will see lows from 10 to 12 degrees with wind chills in the single digits. Southwesterly winds will be 5 to 10 mph.
Temperatures will be near normal this weekend, but there will be the chance of snow showers for part of it.
Saturday
There is a chance of snow showers Saturday morning and evening. Light accumulations of less than an inch could lead to a few slippery roads. Highs will be near 30 degrees. Winds will be out of the south-southwest at 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph.
Saturday night will be mostly cloudy with a few snow showers. Low will be in the upper teens and lower 20s.
Sunday
Sunday will give us a slightly better chance to see some sunshine between the clouds. Highs will be in the upper 20s. Lows will be in the teens.
Monday
By Monday afternoon, Metro Detroit will see temperatures above freezing in some spots. Under partly cloudy skies and breezy conditions, Monday’s high will be in the lower to mid 30s. Lows will be in the mid 20s.
Tuesday
Tuesday will be mostly cloudy with a chance of snow showers. Highs will be in the lower to mid 30s. Lows will be in the upper teens to 20 degrees.
Wednesday
Wednesday will be mostly cloudy with highs in the lower 30s. Nighttime temperatures will tumble into the teens across Southeast Michigan.
Thursday
Then, a cold front will cool off temperatures. Thursday and Friday will see highs in the mid 20s.
