Winter storm watch issued for 32 Michigan counties with several inches of snow possible

Winter storm watches take effect on Wednesday afternoon in Michigan

Southeast Michigan expected to get 2 to 6 inches of snow Saturday.

4Warn Weather – A winter storm watch has been issued for several counties in Lower Michigan as a potential snow-maker moves towards the region.

The window for winter weather is Wednesday evening into Thursday morning, including for most of Metro Detroit. Several inches of snow is possible.

Winter storm watch is in effect from 1 p.m. Wednesday through Thursday at 7 a.m., for the following counties:

  • Oakland
  • Macomb
  • Livingston
  • Lapeer
  • Sanilac
  • St. Clair

NWS in Grand Rapids said: Heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations between 5 and 8 inches possible.
